GREEN SQUAD CAMP 2009

Overview

Green Squad’s head coach is Jonathan Kerr. His coaching team will consist of assistant coaches, Scott Puskas, Vero Therauilt, Andy Preto, Mandy McClung and Lauren Crooks. The coaches involved with the Green Squad run a skill-oriented program that offer an opportunity to learn about training for cross country skiing. The emphasis is put on "the team concept" and "social activities" will be an important part of the program. With an increase in the number of coaches, there is greater capacity to address all interests and abilities.  Coaches encourage competition as one of the many activities in conjunction with training techniques. Age Requirement and Fees

The Green Squad consists of a group of skiers 12 to 13 year olds (born 1997-1996). Registration fees for the season are $230 per child and each child must have a ski club membership.   In order to streamline the squad program, extra cirricular fees(including a CCY hat, all event fees, camp fee, CGC fee, coaches gifts, etc..) of $160 will also be charged at the beginning of the year.  (installment plans available).
Total price:
$230 registration fee, $160 squad fee, $40 club membership=$430.00
 

Sessions

The Green Squad program offers three weekly sessions beginning Sept 22th until the end of March. The sessions take place at the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club. Session times are 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursday and 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturdays. The period from Septembe to November is dryland training (on foot) while the rest of the season is on skis.
